OK Not sure if these go here or not. These are T's in the wild but this was a collecting trip because the land is being developed. In these areas they are putting up a lot of development and housing and this particular piece of land is being compromised. It is 100's of acres and the owner has been very worried about the tarantulas and what will come of them. We went in to collect as many as we can find before the property is sold and their homes were compromised. We had a lot of fun with these tarantulas and going on our trip.

    The valley we were in..

Down in the valley, washes and such...T's could be found here..

Pics of some of the burrows...

    Scrubby looking one..

              that valley is amazing
The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

Well we only had half a day. I believe we ended up with 4 females...and 3 males, which we dispersed amongst each other for breeding!

Shame their homes are going to be destroyed ... but great reason to get out there collecting. I so envy you with these Aphono's. Did you identify which ones you were finding?
