Re: Is this spider in the hobby

        Hello BigEars,

Thrigmopoeus truculentus has been bred by JM VERDEZ last year. Three eggsacks hatched. Interesting sitenote: this species has a hammock-like eggsack (like the one of Citharischius crawshayi). VERDEZ wrote an article about the habitat, keeping and breeding Thrigmopoeus truculentus:
        • VERDEZ, J.-M. & F. CLÉTON. (2003): Thrigmopoeus truculentus, Pocock 1899. DeArGe Mitteilungen 8(4): 20-26.
On the cover of this issue there is a photo of an adult female (photo made by Søren Rafn): >>click here<<

And last year on a price list of a big German dealer I saw WC specimens offered.

One of the spiderlings I got from Jean-Michel:

        all the best,

Could someone tell me what is the approximate legspan at which a female reaches maturity for this species?
