Default Just seen Sapient do the most amazing thing with his cricket.

I missed it the first time I fed him, but, my daugther has just alerted me to the fact that he is doing it again.

He catches the crickets, bites it and then spins a web round it before eating it again. I just saw the whole process and I was absolutely fascinated. I then saw him turn round to eat. I cannot believe to size of his fangs.

    Truly truly fascinating.

    Hi
Yes tarantulas often spin a dinner mat. Especially if the prey items are numerous or particular handfull.
