  • mites on helicerae?

    Hi!

I friend, who has a large collection of bird spiders, called me and said he probably has mites...but on helicarae on some of the spiders! He's not sure what it is, but it could be mites. He also said, he will send me a spider if necessary (or at least a picture), so I can look under a microscope, if this realy are mites. I remember, that I read somewhere about this problem before, but I can't remember where. Can anyone help me out with this? How do you get rid of this little "things".

    best wishes,
    Matjaz
