              Thanks guys and gals , I`ve now had a successful H. formidabilis egg sac . The mother spider is just under 100mm L/S

              you can get an idea of her size by comparing her to the egg sac then the egg sac to my hand , she is huge .


              just imagine the quantity of venom contained within THESE chelicerae absolutely massive , can see how they are capable of taking down adult green tree frogs ...WOW!

                      all up this girl produced 488 slings from this one clutch , that is a number which is pretty much unheard of for funnel webs considering they average between 80 - 250 young . The slings took 2 full days for my mate to seperate (extremely small , 3mm body length and we usually dont have to deal with such large numbers of slings even from our T`s) but I`m glad I wasn`t seperating them I now have another 8 Hadronyche spp. with sacs and am eagerly awaiting the slings arrival
