Just thought I'd post some pic's of my small tarantula family. (Click on the thumbnails)
First is The Lovely Consuela -- she's my favorite right now, because she's the only one talking to me at the moment. She is a juvenile B. emilia, about 2.5 inches leg span.
Consuela making a milkshake out of her cricket:
Consuela, deciding what we're going to watch on TV
Consuela resting in her hide
Bugatti -- named him that because he's soooo fast!!! He was a surprise freebie from the person who sold me my other 2. I didn't think I was experienced enough for a P. irinia but he's here, so the decision is made for me. He's about 3/4". He was very active, climbing all over his enclosure, then he made a fine web with 2 entrances and disappeared into it about a week ago.
Bugatti's fat little tummy
Here's Zelda, my G. pulchra sling, ignoring the pre-killed cricket I left for her. She hasn't eaten in a couple of weeks. Pretty much stays underground, but she's OK, I can see her through the side of her vial. She still looks nice and plump too. Her abdomen is getting darker. She's about 1/2".
So that's my little family. I think I need more, don't you?
