  • [Article] García-Villafuerte & Locht: A new species of Hemirrhagus

This was published back in 2010. García-Villafuerte & Locht describe a new species of the genus Hemirrhagus, H. perezmilesi.

García-Villafuerte, M. A. & A. Locht. 2010 Un nueva especie de Hemirrhagus Simon, 1903 (Theraphosidae: Theraphosinae) de Chiapas, México. Revista Ibérica de Aracnología 18: 81-86.

Abstract. In this study Hemirrhagus perezmilesi sp. nov., is described. The males of this species differ from other of the genus in the absence of tibial spurs. This is the first record of Hemirrhagus in Chiapas Mexico apart from fossil records found in amber.
