    S'ling = spiderling
    Avic = any member of the Avicularia family
    OBT = Orange Bitey Thing (Pterinochilus murinus)
    DCF = dark colour form
    TCF = typical colour form
    RCF = red colour form
    Pokey = any member of the Poecilotheria family

    anyone think of any others?
    Why can't anyone call me "Sir", without adding "Will you please leave"?

      Sling certainly is spiderling. I tripped up on this myself a few months ago!
      And Avic refers to a genus of bird eating Tarantulas, Avicularia sp.

          Actually Avicularia is a Genus name,and the first letter of the genus should always be a capital letter.

              Well he is right Avicularia is the genus not the species, minatrix and versicolor would be species or sub species on the genus. Genus and species are both different categories.
