  • Cyriopagopus and heteropoda in Borneo 2006

    OK just to kick off this part of the forum! Enjoy
    Picture 1:This is a female 30 ft up the tree in the flooded forest.
    Picture 2: large spiderlings of said female same tree
    Picture 3: The tree during the day. Setting up spidercam
    Picture 4: On the way back at night, large heteropoda sp female with eggsac.

            1. Forest huntsman on a tree in the flooded forest
            2. The stunning red and blue spider was real joy!
            3. Mangrove snake - excellent fun
            4. Jungle camping Pennell style!
            5. Large burrow!

              Very cool, that Huntsman is awesome, has it ever been kept in captivity?
              Also that red and blue spider looks like a Latrodectus!

                Not as far as I know, I think its a pandercetes sp but not sure. The Blue one is closely related to nephila its an orb weaver. They were very common in our lodgings grounds.
