    It almost looks like it has been tattooed or has some image in the colour quite tribal looking. They almost look like beetles but with 8 legs

    Did you ever hear or find out anything more about this spider?

    Only that Eddy and myself found these on our trip to Sulawesi this year and they look to be at least in the same genus as the ones you found? Are you able to say what genus they are?

    Looks a bit like the genetically modified spider that bit Peter Parker in the first Spider-Man film.
