  • Pip the Chile Rose on my finger!

I cleaned out hr tank and replaced the horrible looking vermiculite with coir. I had to dry it out by nuking it, twice, and letting it cool and dry on a radiator. Finally it was ready and it was time to rehome Pip.Trying to picvk her up she clinged to my finger, you can really feel those tibia hooks working!

yes nicola it is indeed a wood louse in there,i always keep at least one in there for cleanup duties-I've not known any spider want to eat them so far, they just avoid them which leaves them to do their job in peace

          woodlouse

          Brilliant,
There is all this talk about special cleaning woodlice, I have some myself which never seem to breed, but if an ordinary one will do the job then I'll just go out to the back garden. Thanks Larry!!

I would recommend them to anyone but just pick them off of walls and such. Picking them from under logs means they'll be very wet and more likely to house mites etc.
            Just a thought.
