    Default South American Funnel Web. Trechona venosa?

    Metallic gold and black mygalomorph with very long spinarettes (typical of Dipluridae) Candamo Tambopata Reserve, Peru

    Legspan 3 inches, body 1.5 inches.

    Opportunist spider that makes its extravagent webs at ground level, in trees or as shown here, in an old bamboo trunk.

    Tentative identification from Latreille 1832. Could be something else altogether as some descriptions give T. venosa stripes on the abdomen.
