  • Madam Octa

Hi, I'm new to the forum so I don't know If I'm posting this in the right place but thought I would share this with you. I bred my Lasiodora Parahybana, Madam Octa with Mary's MM Noel on November 15th 2008. She hasn't eaten a lot since the mating so its just a case if waiting and hoping now. Here are some pics

    Before the Mating

    During the mating

    Shortly after mating

Good pix Andrew, that was a fun event, especially when the male ran out screaming "she nearly bit me"!

Oh, and the biscuit eating, yuk!

Yeah we have some smashing meets here, matings and biscuit eating contests lol.

Back to Octa, Andrew she looks gravid to me, looking at a few things on the different pics.

Poor Noel is one of our first breeding ever, he is an old boy now, but still takes the odd cricket.

Good luck Andrew, aunty M xxxxxxxx

Trev has looked at pics and agrees with me.

fingers crossed for Octa, she is a lovely T and the mating was fun to watch!
good old Noel, still going after so long, over 3 years isn't it now, Mary?
just goes to show, with a bit of care, a male doesn't have to die as early as often thought.
Returning violence for violence multiplies violence, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars... Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.

He hatched in May 2004 James and is still eating occasionally.

hear that, everyone? a seemingly viable male parahybana mature for 3-4 years and still going! i suspect this is largely due to how he is looked after!!
                          well done Mary and Trev!

Thanks James love, it just proves males don't have to die so soon, and I hope after reading this a few more males live to a ripe old age too.
