  • Phantom egg sack Bonnetina cyaneifemur

Now I know its a phantom sack because she moulted on the 9/1/2010 just under a year ago and she hasnt been with another spider since or ever in my care.

Sorry for the poor quality of the pix.

Yesterday I thought she was going to moult it being a year almost since her last and was happy seeing her laying down a pure white web in the bottom of the depression she had dug a week ago. So tonight I fished out her container expecting a brand new girl only to be knocked back by the sight you see in the pix

I am right in thinking once they have moulted they are virgins again?

Just glad it didnt happen last week ~ Mary virgin birth Jesus ~ that would of realy messed with my head lol.

    Chris.

I did try to remove the egg sack but she dashed over to protect it so its still at the bottom where it is in the pix.

Feed her last night and she ate.

At least I now know I have at least one female in my collection

    Chris.
