The centerpiece of my collection, a 3.5 year old Lasiodora parahybana, just successfully moulted (13 months since the last moult). It was in a textbook spread-eagled position as the new exoskeleton knit and I wondered what is the increase in size? It was 6".
Unfortunately I interupted its spread-eagled position by trying to retrieve the old skin (overzealous meddling) so it has taken a more relaxed, natural pose. Is a considerable size increase guaranteed even without the spread-eagled pose (while recovering immediately post-moult)?
Thanks, I'm a tarantula soccer dad.
