moulting surprise
Dear all, would I be right in saying that tarantulas can almost synchronize their moulting to moult around the same time as each other? The reason I ask is that I have a b. smithi who moulted for the first time last November( i got her in the september),her next moult was in June this year so I wasn't expecting another moult til at least December or January as i thought there was a longer period betweeen each moult as they got older. I got my second t, a lovely wee b. emilia in May and she moulted at the end of last week as expected. More unexpected tho was my b. smithi moulted on sat night, completely out of the blue, only a day or so after my b. emilia. So that was only 4 months from her last moult when her previous one had been over 6 months. So i think I read somewhere that t's can moult around the same time if they live in close proximity to each other? Or am I making that up! Thanx greig
