Well this is our 2nd ever egg sac but 1st ever one we mated and got sac from.
My hubbys Avic avic finally dropped in during the early ours of the morning. Normally we would stay awake and take notes but we were em Drunk as skunks basically!
She was mated in Feb, have the dates written down, I believe the 12th. So after near 5 months and a move as well she has dropped a sac!
We recently moved to Scotland and she spent 2 1/2 days in a tub but we kept her enclosure the same, didnt empty out or anything. Maybe the drop in temps has helped. Our old T room was about 80 at least and the Avic had her own heat mat and her tank was at about 83. ATM the room is sitting at about 72- 78tops and she doesnt have her mat. So could this have been a factor to helping her drop a sac?
We are really pleased anyways. 2nd ever sac and both this year. Last one was G aureostriata which produced 768 spiderlings so glad this species has less!
