  • Brachypelma smithi spiderling's sunday lunch

A few snaps of Bullitt, my Mexican red knee spiderling. Unsexed for now, this specimen is starting to show some orange coloration on the legs, and a black patch on the abdomen. Looking forward to the next molt! To give an idea of size, the water dish is a micro bowl, so about the size of a £2 coin.

The last picture is a rare glimpse at my Lampropelma "Borneo black" sp. showing her black toes with orange hairs. It's a pretty fast and fast growing specimen, with a voracious appetite. I placed a mini-worm on the top of the bark, and before I could grab my camera, the mini-worm got tagged and inexorably dragged into the borneo black's lair. This specimen is between 2.5 and 3 inches after 2 molts in my care, still with strong black colorations. Underneath of the abdomen is getting browner, so I'm still really unsure about sexing it.
