Very simple, the male was introduced and at first she was not receptive, however after a few hours calmed down and has since cohabited.
There were many successful insertions observed.
Tank conditions and temperatures before mating
Temperatures around 25°C with humidity around 60-70%.
Feeding schedule before mating
The female an adult male dubia roach weekly prior to mating.
Tank conditions and temperatures after mating
Temperatures around 32°C with humidity around 80-85%, raised to this by soaking the substrate to saturation and then weekly soakings until eggsac production
Feeding schedule after mating
1 male Dubia cockroach per week
Date eggsac produced
12/04/2012
Date eggsac removed/hatched
30/04/2012 - pulled early @ 18 days - Post Embryo (N1/EWL)
Development times of nymphs
Total number of spiderlings
30/04/2012 - 97 good, 12 dubious, 14 bad
Additional notes
The females enclosure is totally dark, an exo terra 12x12x18 with black plastic covering all sides apart from the front opening.
When pulled and opened the bad eggs were noted as being eaten by quite a number of the N1s, ie the post embryos were clustered around the bad and visibly consuming the remains. whether they were actually eating or ingesting the fluid as a water source is unclear
