How long should I expect to wait between my B Smithi's abdomen turning black and her molt actually ocurring as she has had a dark abdomen for some 4 days now?

Hi,
You should notice it start to go from a grey/blue, and gradually get darker through to black over several days. Even then it could still take weeks before she moults.
It will also depend on other factors such as her age and size.
Good luck though, and be sure to post some nice pics once she's finished!

Shes quite young and only measures about 2.5" legspan. She already has had a very dark almost black abdomen for 4/5 days if that helps. She hasn't eaten for about two months!Comment

It's still difficult, if not impossible, to say exactly how long it will be. I'd be surprised if it wasn't very soon though, say the during the next week or two.
