Just a quick early announcement, as of this coming Monday, the 23rd of January, The Australian Tarantula Association (ATA) will be officially opening to memberships, we offer many of the typical benefits of any large tarantula organistaion, hopefully a few interesting works of our own!

I will post again this coming Monday with all rellevant links provided.

Hi,
My name is Brendan and I have recently taken over the honor of president of the Australian Tarantula Association from Steve Nunn from which he has resigned due to other commitments. He will remain an active member and mentor for many of us, thanks again Steve.
Just a little bit about myself, I have been studying to be a Vet which is currently on hold and have a strong background in emergency medicine. I have been keeping and breeding Aussie T's for around 5 years and have discovered a few new ones as well as bred many of them for the first time in captivity.
As our species become more readily available overseas I hope our members will be able to assist those here and vice versa as it is still a relatively unusual hobby over here. Many people in Australia still don't believe we have native T's so our work is still cut out for us.
With the large amounts of spare time I have I hope to be able to spend some of it here.
