  • Need an identification if possible.

    Sarah and I were trying to identify this species for a friend. They were told it was a curly hair, but it's far too big for that. It's about 7" legspan.

    It does look like a curly hair(maybe not as hairy as most).Here's mine for comparison

    I hope this helps,your carapace does seem a bit darker.Maybe cos mine's a juvenile.

      It's far far too big to be a curly hair. It's built like my AF A.Geniculata, and about the same kinda size.
      And he piled upon the whale's white hump, the sum of all the rage and hate felt by his whole race. If his chest had been a cannon, he would have shot his heart upon it.

        does it posses curly hairs ?? ;] on the picture the only I can see are straight and I have never seen adult albopilosum without curled hairs :]

        the size is not a problem if this is old female , I would believe they are able to reach 10 cm of BL if given time to grow or more

          It's coming up to a moult whatever it is. Bald patch on abdomen is slightly dark.
