*What I would like to see is a resurgance of our chat room with real names. It would stop the swiping that goes on other chat rooms. So what do you all say.*

I think that going on to tchat rooms would be great, I keep looking on the BTS site and the chat room never seems to be open

It will also be great to see guys from the States joining the BTS in May. I hope to join the Arachnocon 2007 next year presuming its a yearly event.

The BTS Chat room will be back open soon. I have been testing a new chat and just need to change a few things and it will be back....

However only open for guest chat nights.

well thats good to know, something to look forward to and its always good to that BTS members can sit and chat about.. well tarantulas. Having said that this is a good area to make new acquaintences (cant remember how to spell that), for example myself and one of the members SM (stooka) are both living in devon area and regularly talk on msn and one of us always has new T in the collection and ive arranged to have him lok after my collection while on holiday this month. It still surprises me how many ladies are involved with ts and enjoy the hobby, no bird ive ever come across they always feared and hated spiders, something that would have negative affect on relationships when i was growing up if i was with a girlfriend the spiders had to be moved to a different room.

Well both my Mrs. and my daughter have their own tarantulas now, and they both used to be scared to death of spiders! Cath has two (a Grammostola aureostriata, and an Avicularia urticans), and Sarah has two (a Vitalius paranaensis and a Brachypelma emilia).

It's brilliant, because now they can't go on at me when I add new spiders to the collection!

In general I guess its something over time the other half accepts and after the initail shock and scare grow to like them, it would be great if my other half would take an interest, over time may work but she puts up with them in the room for the salke of me which is one step better.
