Chromatopelma Cyaneopubescens- temperament?

Hi

Could all owners of this species please describe the temperament of theirs is?
Most sources on the net point to this species being "semi-docile".
I'm recieving an adult female tomorrow and would like to know what to expect. I have already had experience with brachypelmas, grammostolas, and recently, acanthoscurria geniculata. I think I can manage, but would appreciate some insight into this species!

I think "semi-docile" is an appropriate, if generalized, description. Most adults are what I would call skittish or nervous. In other words, they are not overly defensive or prone to "rear up" in defense and preparation to strike, but rather are "jumpy" and best left alone. I can't recall having one make an attempt to bite, but they will move quickly and brush urticating hairs if you try to handle them. Personally, I recommend avoiding touching tarantulas so this shouldn't be a concern; they're gorgeous display spiders and are best left at that.

I would second everything Michael has said in his post, skittish/nervous but not really aggressive, would be the best way of describing them.

semi docile but skitish is how I found mine, durring the couple of times I had no choice but to handle I have had no trouble at all. Other than that there has been the odd half hearted flick while doing tank stuff but nothing like a brachy or genic in terms of the flick being really ment.
