  • B. Auratum?

Kicking around on the internet and I found a picture of this T which I initially thought looked like a Smithi, but only has the one red patch on each leg rather than 2 as mine does (and most pictures I have seen of Smithi's).

I haven't read about this one before. Is it rare and what is it's common name (if it has one)?

    Just interested, that's all

Just seen one of these in a petshop in kingston upon thames. Didnt look too well so i asked some questions such as its sex/what its scientific name was (just has the label 'flame knee tarantula') - nobody knew.
i would have happily taken care of it if it wasn't for the £139 price tag!!

nice spiders...i see them for sale quite often!
              and alot cheaper than that!
rescuing it from such ignoramuses (if i'm not ignorant enough to have mispelled that!) is tempting but yeah you'd just be encouraging them to do it again.
              that price is stupid though!

Hi Roscoe, and welcome to the forum, and if I ever get to Kingston upon Thames, I will remember not to go shopping for T's
