BTS Membership

Hi,

Can someone help me? I applied and paid for membership of the BTS by paypal about a month ago and as of yet have not received anything. Do I get a membership card or anything like that??? I have had no log in details so that I can access the members articles...

Please could someone advise???

Im gladyou asked that question Kristine.
The BTS Journal Volume 21 no 3 was delayed due to work committments of our editor Richard Gallon. The Journal comes out ( or should in an ideal world) every three months but it is often the case that due to committments eleswhere it is a little late. When you join the BTS you join for four journals. That is you recieve four journals throughout your membership. It may be the case depending on the time you join ( ie if a Journal is due or one as just been sent out) that you will be a member for 8 months or 16 months. You will still however recieve Four journals.

I have your application and because I was waiting for the new Journal to arrive I have hung on to it so you do not recieve the last issue and this new issue both together.

Over the years this has caused confusion as we do not run a yearly membership but a subscription membership.
If anyone has recently joined and has heard nothing from us rest assured we are on the case. We send out membership cards and a starter pack.

We dont contact all new members to say we have recieved their application as this would take forever. I know as a new members your are keen to see what you get for your money but please bear with us as we have to go on holiday sometime.

I am sorry if some of you have been waiting a while and we do try to process the applications as soon as possible but we run the BTS on purely voluntary basis and your subscription fees only pay for the Journal.

We value every BTS member and hope that you will be understanding.
