I have yet another question this time about managing humidity my hydrometer says the humidity is 90% which is a little high for my Pink toed how can I get it down to about 80 bettet air circulation???

Yup, increase the ventilation a little bit to reduce the humidity.Dave -

Those hygrometer dials are unbeleivably innarcurate dont mind what it says it isnt 100 %. You are much better off investing in a digital thermometer/hygrometer a good one the will be more accurate.Comment

That's the one I've got, works fine for me. Bear in mind the probe only reads temperature, so to read humidity the whole unit has to be put in the enclosure.Comment

To be honest I don't measure the humidity in the enclosures at all. I just go by experience, you get a feel for what's right after a while. I have the unit sitting on one shelf in my room, and the probe on another shelf a bit further away. That way I can get accurate readings and can put different species in different areas that are hotter/colder. For example I keep my Avics where it gets to 25c, but my P. rufilata and H. schmidti are put on a shelf where it's about 23cComment
