  • Moulting problems (any suggestions)

My 9yr old female brachypelma albopilosum shed a few weeks ago. when she came out of her burrow to feed I noticed her old carapace is still attached and the back and sticking up at about 45 degrees. she fed fine but I was wondering what the best thing to do is?
Should I leave it and increase the humidity and hope it falls of.
I'm not confident removing it is a good idea, but I've not encountered this in my 5 yrs of T keeping.

water is good to soften it from my limited knowledge but I think if it drys out then its very hard to get off if not impossible, dont just take my word for it though but I was reading about it in a book
The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

If it's just the carapace I'd be tempted to leave it alone as it shouldn't interfere with anything vital? I'd imagine it'll come off with the next shed.

P.S. my e-mail's on the blink Steve, so if you've sent me anything over the last few days I'm afraid it's lost in cyberspace!

You can try a wet paintbrush and see if it'll come off.
