I have quite a bit of experience and knowledge with tarantulas and scorpions and exotic animals but as far as breeding ts go im afraid im a noob, I have an adult pair of tarantulas that I want to breed and have a second male on the way for a differnet female but would like some advice on the first pair. As it is my first captive breeding I would like everything to go well. I received both the male and female as adults and I dont know if the male has made a sperm web before I received him or not. The last thing I want to do is wait for him to make a sperm web and then he kicks the bucket and miss my chance. Any ideas? Also as the male paces around the tub a lot and as soon as I lift the lid hes exploring already I thought maybe hes looking for a female so I have tried to introduce the pair on couple of occassions and the only thing the pair are interested in is getting out of the tank I out them in. I first tried the couple together in a large plastic storgage box but the were trying to get out. The second attempt I placed them both into a cricket tub with a transparent divider to see if there was any interaction but were both more interested in getting out of the tub tapping at the lid (this is a dwarfis hadult pair and both had comfy space in their quarters). The only method I havent tried is placing the male into the females tub but with him being so hyper hes unlikely to stay in the tub with the lid off. Is there any suggestions to the situations or if anybody knows if there is an indication that he has made a sperm web before I had him? If it helps in any direction the pair is (Euthalus Truculetnus). Would very much like to breed this pair as my first captive breeding.

Introduce the male to the females tank as this seems to work best most of the time. If your worried bout him getting eaten try shark tanking him in a smaller container in her tank for a bit before letting them meet and hopefully mate. If possible place the male near some webbing of the females when you first put him in her tank so he picks up her phenomenons sooner. Just be careful not to put him to close to her to soon and then watch and wait and be ready to separate if needs be. You can place her tank inside a bigger one to make it easier to recapture him if he decides to leave her tank.
