    Aphonopelma chalcodes

    Hey everyone. I have already posted on the Bulletin Board, but I thought I'd post here too, just in case it got missed. I am looking for Aphonopelma chalcodes (slings or juves if poss) and can't find much 'out there'.

    This used to be my favourite T and I am keen to find another; is it readily available these days? Has there been much breeding of this species?

    Any info gratefully received. Thanks guys.

    They are available but best place to get them is the BTS exhibition in May they had them last year as large spiderlings for £8 each but other than that they arent on the net much and if are tend to be adults at £50. exhibition should have them

      Ah... Then I better get myself to the exhibition then!

      So not a great deal of breeding going on then?

        Not in the Uk the guy selling the Chalcodes was French I think, could be wrong but there were af number of European in that section, the Eu and Uk certainly have a variations on what they breed as chalcodes ovber here is bred nearly enough in my opinion there should be more available than is in UK but an exhibition is your best bet at the moment.

            Hi Andrew, as Adam has said, you will be best at the BTS exhibition, the main seller of chalcodes last year was Martin Goss & I picked up 2 more for my little collection then! I currently have a mature male to try with my 3 females so you never know what next year will bring! I had a sac out of one of the females about 3 years ago but it was no good so hoping for better luck this time. I'll keep you all informed.
