ideal to go along with my cup of tea in the morning. Yes 2 great artices from Ray and Richard probably some of the best this year really. I will have articles in future issues of the journal if I can get the breeding to work, much trickier than i anticipated with many issues never even thought of.

I thought the front cover pic was great, very different. Loved all the articles always good, though it would be good to see more articles on scorpions I know they arent kept as much as ts but US side deal a lot more with scoprions like Centruroids and the like. Im sure there are some people out there that have collections and breed scorpions im sure on this forum someone posted a pic of their collections. How bout a word from "your 2 cents guys". Other than that very good, but lets get some more writing in instead of the regular 10-12 surely they must be plenty of you guys that have stories to tell what you bred this year?

I thought this journal was excellent, particularly the Cyriopagopus article. I think the layout is good anyway, but the Cyriopagopus article was nicer to look at than other articles I've seen because of the abundance of colour images. In fact this whole journal was full of great colour photos, nearly every page had at least one!
I particularly liked the layout of page 20. It's nice to see images used in more visually interesting ways like that, rather than just sticking a border around a rectangular photo.
I think the mix of articles in recent journals has been very good, it's great to see lighthearted anecdotal articles next to more in depth scientific ones.
Keep up the great work!

Having last seen a BTS Journal way back in 91/92, The improvement (in cosmetic terms, at least - the articles were ALWAY very good back then, too) is fantastic. I come from a publishing background and I think the Journal is certainly very reader friendly.
Being, to all intents and purposes, new to the hobby, some of the content (very well written and clearly extremely informative) is still a little 'advanced' for me, but that is purely down to my absence from the 'hobby' for so many years...
Excellent work. Ask me again when I am higher up the learning curve!Lasiodora parahybana

Not seen the latest as it is yet to arrive, but what I would like to see is an article from someone like Mr Smith or Mr Gallon or other, about the things they do in regards to the taxonomy they do. By this I mean showing us the inside of the museums where they keep the specimens, where they work on the specimens and maybe just a general short over view on the type of work, problems etc they have to go though in order to describe or revise many of the tarantula species that we keep.
As long as it is kept simple (for me mainly lol) I think it would be quite interesting and encorage (I hope not discorage) other budding taxonomists of the future to follow suite in this not often heard about work they do.
All the best
Chris

BTS journal
What I'd like to see is a lot more of the same! The article (with pictures) on working out whether I've got a male or female tarantula was brilliant, not that that is difficult to work out with Cyriopagopus schioedtei juveniles, we now know thanks to the article by Mr. Gallon and Mr. Gabriel. I like things which teach me something, and this journal taught me a lot. However the articles were easy to read, not done in that stuffy over-scientific manner you sometimes find in some journals. Thank you for a great read and please can we have many more!sigpicHate is for people who find thinking a little too complicated!
