  • wobbley T

my chile rose has been looking like shes comming up to a moult for the last week or 2 (balding on abdomen)and now she's gone all wobbley and keeps falling over.

is it normal for a T to go all wobbley and fall over alot when due for a moult or should i start worrying that she's not well??

    thanks in advance

sorry mate I wish I could help
The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

A pic would be nice? also is the bold spot dark?

Try raising the humidity a bit and if you don't have one a water dish...

        Cheers

have to say this isnt the first post ive read where someones t unusually shakes and then dies and feeling there would be little that could be done. Its unusual circumstance. Maybe it was old age,

im unsure on how old she was as i bought her as a adult from a reptile shop near where i live.

i can now see why it is a bad idea to buy a T as a adult and from a non-specialist supplyer.

i had only had her about a 1 1/2 months, she was a present from my misses for my birthday.

i fed her on a mixture of brown crickets and locusts.

Moulting is an extremely difficult time for tarantulas. During the run up to a moult the spiders body goes extreme changes both internally and externally.

I too would like to know your feeding regime. How often, what etc.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Dont let it put you off.

i was giving her 2 crickets/locusts every 2 days and if she grabbed any immediatly i would put an extra 1 in for her.

im not going to let it put me off as ive still got my 3 slings which are doing really well especially my little orange baboon(P.murinus)
