You are asking for adults, I have found or seen on the net is spiderlings... I guess this is why there have been no replys. I wish I could have added more but alas no. Sorry dude

One more thing, when I was in Margerita some 17 years ago locals refered to this spider as a Monkey spider... never manage to find one though

I got them through friends in Europe , and sold my group to Steve who has since bred them. They come from the stock Herwig Kahlenberg was selling from Isla Margaritha, and are as far as i know probably an island form of the Avicularia avicularia complex, ie the blue/green Avicualrias from the eastern side of the Andies which vary in size and colour depending on where they were collected.

Keep like the unidentified specimens being sold as A. avicularia, metallica etc over the past 20 years or so.

Ray, is the correct labelling for these Avicularia sp. 'Isla Margaritha' ?

Yes it was not quite clear you were asking for adult leg span size, hence my reply, I completely misunderstood what you were asking for so sorry about that.

While we're on the avic topic, i've got a female Avicularia ulrichea that i bought from the BTS in may. I know nothing about it, and have struggled to find any info about it on the web. All know is that it's really big for an avic sp, and very stocky.

Does anyone else have this species, or can give some info on its maximum legspan and care??

                  No worries Mark.

would be nice if between us all we could help with the info for the Avic that are hardly listed if between we share info and creat a small database on them. might have been done before, might not. ut from my browsing certain T's have very little info if any posted anywhere.

                  Neil

thats a good looking T you got there how big is she?

She's easily 6" legspan. That's a standard cricket tub she's sitting in for the picture.

For A. ulrichea keep like the other Peruvian Avics, A. urticans, etc,

No idea if it should be called Isla Margarith or just Margaritha. I suppose Isla Margaritha in case any Avics are found from a place called only Margaritha.

                              Avicularia sp. Isla Margaritha

                              Hi,
Regarding these Avics, (Isla Margaritha). I keep hearing so much about them and I'm a real fan of Avics, but I haven't a clue what they look like. Any chance of someone posting a picture?
