At the moment Im having trouble finding a suitable shelving unit to accomodate my T enclosures....

Can anyone recomend either a unit suitable unit for housing upto 7 or 8 tanks, all the bookshelve type units dont seem to be deep enough. It would need to be at least 35cm deep and around 80cm + wide.

So what do you use? Pics would be apprecited.

    Cheers

You could try this website www.vivbuilder.co.uk You could draw up blue print of the design and possibly have it heat encorporated too. Primarily these design vivs but also do heated rearing cabinets so they may help

This is a picture from the net and not mine but I use a similar set up.

I have shelves from floor to ceiling. They are fully adjustable and can be set at any height. I put the arboreal tanks at the bottom and then work my way up to smaller set ups. I have a shelf around the top at CD height which very nicely houses my collection of Metal.

I also use white MDF which is 12" wide and comes in 2m lengths.

Put a few uprights to ensure support and away you go.

I will post some pics of mine soon.

PS ..I use a heated room not heat mats

      Hope this helps

I have mine in an old classroom cupboard unit with the doors removed, the adjustable shelving makes life a lot easier.

I tend to try Ikea first! Because if you have one close enough, the stuff is often dirt cheap and easy to make. Save on the building if you can find what you want there first then great!

I built my Boa's and Ig's vivs from Ikea kitchen sink units which I then gave a sliding glass front! A hell of a lot cheaper than a 4' flat pack vivarium from a supplier!
