With my wee ones starting to put on some size I'm really hopeful of achieving a similar display myself soon, Neil. Seeing your wonderful setup has really given me some inspiration. Great job!

Neil, yout tanks look wicked mate! This is exactly what i would aim to achieve. The moss not only looks good but retains water thus helpinh with humidity. I spend alot of time on a Dart Frog forum and i will nick some ideas from there when i start to set my tanks up!

                Well done mate!

I am just renovating our rear garden with a view of shortly building a custom designed spider house. It will be fully insulated and temperature controlled and feature red lights for viewing the spiders activity at night. As it's south facing it will also get a good amount of natural light through the day. It's been designed to provide a good home, with minimum energy requirements. If I can find a cost effective solar panel - I plan on using a battery bank to store power for the lights etc.

Current design estimates give it a length of about 18feet, and width of around 8 to 9 feet. Due to planning permission considerations the height is the limiting factor, being restricted to about 8 feet.

Along with my spiders and scorpions, I am also going to have some plants inside that allow my Leaf and Stick insects to run free! When it is completed (by September I hope) I will post pics.

It doesn't matter how many spiders you have - just as long as you give them the best you can. Neil - great job with yours mate.
