Can T's Jump?

Ok this question has originated from a request i made to the Mother in Law to feed/water my T's while i am on holiday. She is quite interested in them and gets close up when the lids are on tanks but when i remove the lids to feed/water daily she scarpers.

So after requesting her help she said she would feed & water as long as they dont jump out the tanks when the lids off. I have a G.rosea and a B.vagans btw. I have never seen them do this but didnt know if it was possible?

So, can these terrestrial spiders jump?

As far as I know, they cannot jump, but they can move quickly enough at times so that it would appear so. Arboreals can jump, though.

I believe avicularia species have the ability to jump so i assume this is only a trait possesed by some arboreal species she should be safe enough with the terrestrial species you named

I have seen my mates A avic jump from off his hand, and onto the back of the sofa. I have also seen him jump from various areas of his Ab setup tank.

So I would say they can jump if they feel like it.

yeh some aboreals can jump maybe all but I dont know for sure personally but definately some, tell her not to worry though a B.Vagans and G.Rosea are not gonna jump both are calm spids she shouldnt have any trouble

Simon, this is easier said than done! Also as no one on here has stated categorically that they cant i am going to have a hard task convincing her as i am not convinced myself!?!?!?!?!?
