  • G rosea calm? I think not!

This morning I noticed there was a little mould growing on the peat in my G rosea tank (well I think it was mould, could it may have been webing?)

Anyway so I tried to remove it in case it was mould. Anyway she went for me! lol! I was quicker than her, but she was well miffed. I decided to use a little plastic food fork to remove it, and she went for that and I felt her try to bite it!

I though Rosea's were meant to be docile lol.

My rosea is quite similar. If you try to do anything near her she normally turns round to face up to you. She's just temperemental and likes her peace and quiet.

Mine (adult female) is normally very placid, but a little while back she started to get more agressive, then she went into a moult, i don't know if the change in character was due to the impending moult or not. It'll be interesting to see if she goes back to her old self once she's hardened off.

My daughters Rosea stopped eationg for a while, though it was pre moult, then she started eating again but now has an attitude problem.

Prahaps mine is coming up to premoult? I have also been told that it was web I took out the tank and not mould...

Prahaps she was just bloody annoyed at me messing up her web.

i've only had my g rosea for 6 months but she never goes for me (yet) when i change her water or anything she sits quite happily in her burrow i've had to remove an eggsac and her moult and she has been fine, i've only picked her up about 3 times this year(pre and post moult) but she still seems fine about me picking her up.
