  • Traders at the exhibition

    Morning all

Wondered if anybody new or had an idea of how many different sellers will be there this year with stock to sell?

Yes, I still want more!! Lol! Just been advised by many to hold fire on buying online and wait to see what's at the exhibition as prices are better and there's no postage.

    Any ideas?

      BTS show

To give you an idea on prices, last year i bought a H.lividium spiderling for £5, an A. versicolour spiderling for £3, 3 P. formosa juveniles for £20, an E. murinus juvenile for £12, a Selenocosmia sp. Sarina for £30 and a sub-adult male P. ornata for £18 (the female was £22 but the man in front of me got it). You won't get those prices online.
sigpicHate is for people who find thinking a little too complicated!

As mentioned this year’s show is in a new larger venue, Ray is busy taking trader bookings and we are expecting a bigger turn out this year.

Well over 120 traders / breeders etc. Plus the added bonus of spending the day with like minded fellow enthusiasts, what more is there to life

        Cheers
        Mark

Norfolk isnt that far away, last year I came all the way up from Devon to the show but went for the whole weekend. These days its not just about the expo and picking up a few spiders many (well a good few including myself) stay in the b&b the day before and the night before all go for a few beers and relax the night before so its a real social get together and is like a weekend break from work and mundane life. I urge anyone who doubts going due to travel distance.

Yeah Adam and the guys here gave me a hard time about it being too far to come, and when I saw where Michael was travelling from and the fact that he saw it as no big deal!! I mean if he can make it I guess we have no excuse!!

I'm driving down to the exhibition from South Wales, tempted now though to see who else is doing an overnighter and pop down the night before, get a couple of bevvies and the like.

What are people's plans? Are there any recommendations for places to stay?

I'm probably going to drive down on my own but may talk my brother into coming with me (Although I'll bore him senseless with my spider geekiness He likes them, but not to the obsessive extent I do!)

It's a matter of perspective as well. It would take me longer to drive east to west across my state than it would for just about anybody in the UK to drive to the Birmingham area . I drive 15 hours to get to ArachnoCon.

Plus, we Americans all drive everywhere... even 2 blocks down the street! Lazy, lazy

                            Kind regards, Michael

From what i've heard of America, driving is the only option in most cases.
Some of you could fit the UK in your back yards.
Be nice to (hopefully) meet you at the show.

And i shall be humbled by only driving about 30 miles there.
