    Dear mr Gallon,

With great joy i received the journal of the British Tarantula Society August 2006. Volume 21 No. 4. The cover art is truely a masterpiece! then my eye spotted the article on page 130: A Cricket Catching Device by John Grieves.
having a bachelors degree in Mechanical engeneering myself, my heart pounded faster! the article was in clear understandeble English (i know i can understand the technical part, but English is not my first language.) The figure on page 131 shows the mechanics of the device perfect!
    I WANT TO BUILD ONE!
i must admit getting all the materials was harder then i thought... and more costly. i spend about 15 euro for it (and that is a lot of cricket tubs!)
after 2 hours of building i was done. My own Cricket catching device could be tested. Now how can i put this... it is not exactly what i expected. i find the device more of a hindrence then a help. Especially getting the crickets out of their tub is a pain in the.....

can you please tell me if i did anything wrong with this?

    kind regards
    Eddy Hijmensen

ps England still uses the inch system don't they?

Brilliant! Few would have such dedication to a joke to go to such "lengths".

          Cheers, Michael
