  • My first moult!!

Oh my god, I have whitnessed my first moult! (well didn't see it, but it happened!)

Oddly enought it wasn't my B bohemei! It was my P cambridgei!

Checked on the spiders this morning, saw his what I thought was his shriveled body, but after a moment where I thought oh dear, I noticed the carapace was like a lid!, and the spider was actually sat o the glass (late night last night, and one too meny beers)

I am so please, and man he's grown half an inch more or less!!

So now quite pleased, I think I'm going to start and keep a record of these sort of things now!

I know some might think 'so what?' but it's the first moult of a spider in my care!

i find its good to keep records of moult dates and things like that, as it can help with estimateing the next date for a moult and when you have more of the same species you can compare the dates and growth rates.

        Congratulations!
I agree with Lee Smith about the keeping record thing
        Everything is useless
        Nothing works at all
        Nothing ever matters
        Welcome to the fall

          Congrats!
My G, rosea did it a couple of weeks ago and that was the firstone in my care.

My B, albopilosum though, sneaky little beggar, did it without my knowledge!!

He's been burrowed since he arrived and I've left him to his own devices. A couple of times I have looked at him and thought 'He's bigger-I'm sure!?' then low and behold, what was stuffed in the corner the same way i hang my clothes!! A little moult!!

          Swine!

Glad he's ok though, that's the main thing

Yeah Jo, I was worried about one of my T's moulting, but it seems to have happened without a hitch.

Impressed he's come out his skin green so he's now on the road to his adult colours. He's hardening off now as at the mo hes sat on the glass and his fangs have turned black.

Shame the skin isn't big enough to determine the sex.

You never get bored of your spiders moulting. My T.blondi shed the other day and it's a girl, yay! I had a smile all day long.
