  • Sling Moulting Question

2 of my slings (B Boehmei and H Lividum, both 1cm) have been moulting since 1200 today, and are still attached to their exuvium.

Should it take this long for such a small spider?

Last night was really warm (32 C) so is it just coincidence that 2 of my T's have begun to moult?

Hopefully it's nothing to worry about but I'm concerned more about the B Boehmei, as it's up on it's front walking around with it's shed still attached to the latter half of it's opisthosoma...

Is this natural, and if not is there anything I can do?

    Thanks in advance,

    Rob.
All those legs and not a pair of shoes in sight... Nice tarsus tho...

You could try to increase the humdity a little this might just get that last little bit off. Although is not uncommen for a tarantula to stay in a moult for about 12 hours, mine have somtimes gone longer so not to much to worry about. How are they like now ???

I managed to take off the remainder of the Boehmei, but the Lividum now seems stuck in it's moult.

It's got one set of legs out and it's chelicerae and a palp, and that's about it. Unless I can hand feed it till next moult I reckon there's not a lot of hope left

I managed to remove most of the old exuvium that was still attached, and have managed thus far to hand feed it a micro cric, hopefully if it lives to next moult it'll be ok.

I bet if it lives it will still have an attitude, even after all I'm doing for it lol

3 Functioning legs and a pair of fangs, what are the odds?

If it makes it it'll be an intersting conversation piece!
