  • King Baboons?

Hi all, i am looking for a King Baboon to add to my collection. I know they used to be named something like Citharisious crawshayi? Please excuse me if i am wrong! All that besides, are they still named the same or have they changed names since i was last in the hooby 8 years ago?

Their Scientific name is still Citharischius crawshayi
The common name used for the different species may vary from person to person. For this species I have seen King Baboon and King Kenya used.

Yep still a King Baboon, (not heard them called King Kenyans or Kenyan Baboons for ages, that took me back to earlier days Robin)
Lovely looking spiders. higher temp, normal humidity at least 6 inches of substrate, maybe a bit of cork bark or a log to decorate the tank and you have a pet hole for 70% of the time, but the other 30% makes up for it when it's out and about.

Yes, but they're still, after all this time, just a big ginger spider. There was a thread a few years ago regarding this - the results were overwhelming.......

Pete, do i take it from your post that these are not one of your favourite T's? Your response read a little negative?

I like them, aggressive little sods though
The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.
