    hello,
I was wandering if anybody knew what these little worm/ catipillar things are that come with crickets. I know that they turn into beetles, buit can they do anyharm to my collection?, i have also been asked if spiderlings would eat them?
    Thanks

I've thought the same myself, I reckon they'd be good in as much as there isn't as much hard exoskeleton like the mature ones have, and as we don't mind feeding crix to our T's they should be fine, after all they are both the same creatures at the end of the day, just at different stages of development.

Reminds me of the things that Khan put in peoples ears in one of the Star Trek films...
All those legs and not a pair of shoes in sight... Nice tarsus tho...

They're called carpet creepers or carpet cleaners, they're the larva form of the carpet beetle (Anthrenus verbasci).
they use them to keep the cricket breeding tanks clean as they eat the waste.

Unfortunately thats the "norm" these days,
Most exotic pet shops just hire the first person that "seems ok", yet they know virtually next to nothing of the animals and accesories they sell.
Good, knowledgeable, exotic pet shops are few and far between unfortunately.
