  • L.Klugi moving house.

My Lasiodora Klugi got too big for its jar (it was even trying to climb up the walls) so I made a bigger tank enclosure for it and put the jar in so that it would walk out, realise how superior its new home was and forget about the jar. I figured that this would avoid having to aggrevate it with forceps and deal with flicking hairs etc.
It has explored its new home, but when its scared guess where it runs? Back into its old jar...so cute... I've decided to work with it now and I've set up its old jar as its new burrow and it seems happy enough.
Anyone else got moving house stories / advice?

Just the other night, I recived 3 Chilobrachys. 1xC.andersoni, 1xC.breviceps and 1xC.huahini. They had grown out of their little slingboxes, and I decided to move them to bigger enlosures.
The C.huahini was pretty agressiv, and decided to display it`s fangs :P, but the real problem did not start before I tried to move the C.breviceps.
The little devil bolten trough my kitchen, with some small breaks in my coffemaker, and beneath my blender. After about 10-20 minutes of hunting, the spider was back in it`s new enclosure. *peew*, was a little bit nervous that night

      moving c. cyaneopubescens

I had to move my c. cyaneopubescens the other day (it had outgrown its jar).
it had completely webbed the jar and it was quiet a hassle to get it out. (it kept on hiding in the tight webs and I did not want to transfer the webs) Due to some stupidity from my end, it actually managed to run up my hand.
Lucky that it wasn't anything more aggresive

I can try to get a picture. The little devil is so fast and aggressiv that i`m afraid it will get away again if i open the enclosure to take a picture. At least i can take one trough the plastic. Need new batteries, will post pictures maybe tonight.
