  • B.vagans Dies!

Hi all, a bit of bad news to share im afraid. My B.vagans passed away today! She has seemed off colour for about 4/5 weeks and has been off her food which is abnormal for her! Im well gutted as you can imagine as this only leaves me with my G.rosea!

Time to go T shopping i think!

Unlucky mate, how old was the spider?

Sorry if this sounds a bit off, but do you have any idea what it's replacement will be yet?

Sorry new T's excite me, but hope everything's ok none the less.

      Rob.
All those legs and not a pair of shoes in sight... Nice tarsus tho...

Thanks for the kind words all!

Age wise, im guessing about 6ish, im not sure as she was adult when i got her 6 months ago. Im taking what my mate said as gospel here as he owned it from juvenile stage.

As for a replacement! Hmmmmmm thats a hard one! I am a huge Brachypelma fan, so it may even be another Vagans or an Emelia. I have never owned an Emelia and i think they are stunning! But, Avics are something i have been considering as well!

          Watch this space i guess!

Lee @ the spider shop's got a nice B Boehmei at 4-5cm I think for £8, looks like it's just started to show it's colour, might be worth having a look:

Depends on whether you're looking for an adult I guess.

Good luck whatever you decide Glen!

                Damn shame that mate!!

Hope you give the Avics some thought, they're wonderful animals.

                Watching space has begun.

I will do Colin. I do love my Brachy's but i am facing an opportunity to try something new. If i were to find a nice Versicolour it would be hard to say no!

Thanks for the tip Daniel! They are not hig on my list tbh but i do fancy an emelia. Lets hope these are not the same. On the other hand i have been seriously considering A.avics and versicolour. This is a decision i will not rush so i will do my research and probably end up buying one of each! lol

Sorry to hear bout the loss.
lol Daniel you would not think that if you had our emilia shes a compleate nutter and worse than our boehemi is at any time of the day or night. Most brachys seem to be very hit or miss as to personality either they are sweet as pie or right B**ers. Ours have all been right B**ers to date though some are worse than others. Glen what about a nice show T such as an A. genic they are stunners who are always out and always doing fun stuff.

If you're still looking for a pink toe, check out the spider shop, A Avicularia 3.75! Think I'll be putting an order down soon...

                              Thanks for the suggestions guys!

I am considering many options at the moment and top of my list are another RCF Rosie, B vagans, Avic avic and B emelia. I would like a nice display T which i think all of the above would provide.

I wouls like a P regalis but i am not experienced enough to own one of these yet. Mind you my first ever T was a C.darlingi. lol.
