Just got back from the entomological show.

I just though i'd mention a few things...

If anyone is hesitant at buying from Lee and company at the spidershop, don't be. They are fantastic. thanks for the pair of G Rosea RCF. (will place that order soon If i can't wait for the BTS show)

Dave Gunter (bugnation)......TOP BLOKE !!! (Even though i didn't get my coffee ) thanks for the Rosea slings (happy daughter) and the pair of P cavimanus (red claw scorp's....beaut's) hope you're at the BTS show, won't forget i owe you one mate.

Not forgetting the Tarantula barn who i got to just as they were packing up but were still very obliging even for a few extra pounds, one bargain B Emilia to add to the collection.

    An interesting day, thanks chaps

I have to say I was a little dissapointed. The quietest Kettering show I've been to. Having two shows on consecutive days was never going to be the best idea...

Glen, the little emilia's about 2cm, lovely condition and looks to be up for a moult.

Stuart, yes it was quite quiet to some of the other shows i've been to but preferable to me, i don't really like "Big" crowds and like to see what i'm looking at and not wait three hours for a spare assistant.

From what i've read and heard of the show in the past, it's been a cracker.

Be nice to put faces to names and chew the fat as it were
i aim to spend most of the day there too, my two lads are coming so that just might mean extra live baggage on the way home, (saying that i'm getting as bad)

looks to be a good day out

A great day, quieter than last year though.

One thing i really like with getting to the shows is to meet up with "online" friends to put faces to names.

Came home with some nice spiders, 3xfemale and 1xmale RCF Chilie rose (breeding project), 3x T. pruriens and a stunning M. robustum.

It was quiet yesterday at Kettering, but some lovely spiders on sale, we came away with some *Africans* ahem, and 2 pairs of Cyriocosmus, 1 of bolivia, 1 of elegans, plus a load of other stuff.

My cousin went to the York show and came back with a fantastic pair of Rhino beetles and a Blue Fang. He said it was a good show. I didn't go myself as we are saving the pennies for May 20th. Really looking forwards to the show and the Mrs has already signed off the budget!!!!

Dave, you got the Robustum then you need to post a piccie of that, although seeing it in the flesh (so to speak) a photo won't do it justice.

Just rehoused the P cavimanus (red claw psycotic "have a go at owt bigger" Scorps), settling in fine, counted my fingers when i'd done though

Those RCF's are stunning eh? glad i was persuaded

I realy enjoyed it, being a true spider fan as well as tarantulas I was pleased to see that more species are becoming available and picked up a huge pair of Heteropoda sp. along with some other slings and some very nice tarantulas including Cyriocosmus, Chilobrachys and Megaphobema.

Lokking forward to the BTS now
