  • I know I'm a bit slow on the uptake but..

I have finally decided i want to try and get some more of my pics on my gallery.

What the heck is the best way of doing it?

if I try and upload straight from the PC it crashes (They are massive files mind you!)

if I try to upload from a URL it only allows one image and then refuses to upload more.

If I try and get all images from a URL that fails and i get an error message!

    Help!!!!!!!!!

I want to save them from photobucket as they are more manageable file sizes but I can't seem to get it to play ball!

    Any ideas guys and gals?

Personally i don't use photbucket and all the rest of them internety storage thingys.
I resize the image in a software package (paint shop pro, photoshop etc etc) to 640 x 480 pixels (this still retains the image quality and reduces the MB size by a great deal)

Then i upload them one by one from my harddrive.

        Try here

The official website for Corel products. Get product information, updates, and free trials. Access special offers, tutorials and videos.

You can have a free trial download of any Corel products.

If you have a problem i'll upload paint shop pro to my website and you can log in and download it from there (big file even when zipped so may take a while)

          You're too good to me!

I'm off to have a bath now so will have a go at the free trial over the weekend. Thanks for finding that for me as i have been thinking about buying that software for a while now after a recommendation from a friend.

          Again Colin, many thanks!

I use GIMP, meself. It's like a poor man's photoshop, but it tweaks photos well enough.

I review some of these third party software packages for possible "easy" use by some of my customers.
I personally wouldn't install Irfanview, it has adware and spyware embedded in the install process. one obvious one is that it asks if you want to install the ebay toolbar.

I ripped it to bits (being a certified microsoft engineer and having such tools available) and found three more instances of both adware and spyware linking to the designers affiliates. even "spybot" missed one of them.
Wouldn't be a bad little program if it weren't for this.

Thanks, that adware and spyware stuff is a nightmare!

Larry, thanks anyway, I appreciate the thought!

Can't comment on earlier or later versions, but i would presume they are of the same "ilk"
