  • End of the line for an old girl

Well today after 23 years in my care my Aphonopelma sp (possibly A,schmidti)
    Died of old age.

She was an adult when I got her back 1984, so she has had a good innings.

On a lighter note as old age brings to an end one life so a new one springs forward.
    Today my Robin Moth immerged!

    Regards
    Mark

Oh Mark I feel gutted for you. So sorry, but at least you know you looked after her well for all those years. I hope my G.Rosea lives as long.

      Your in my thoughts

My commiserations Mark, she had a good run though by the sound of it.

I'm so sorry Mark. I just hope that I can give mine the kind of life you gave your girl. 23 years is a long time so she must have had everything she needed in life.

              Your Moth is beautiful.

It's sad when something so cherrished is no more. You should be very proud of yourself though, nurturing her to such a long lifespan.
                Sad very sad.

                Pat on the back Mark.

Tell you what Mark if it is in good condition you could get it stuffed. I saw some really nice display cases with stuffed tarantulas in them at KWH last April (real profesional jobs too) so if your interested then I will see about grabing a business card for yeah. Might be worth it for such an old spider that you looked after for so long.
                  cheers
