    Hi,
I discovered this forum recently, lurked a bit, bt since I liked what I saw and read, joined yesterday.

I am from SA, and started keeping T's on 1 April (no April fools joke ). I got a G Rosea adult female, and was adamant that that would be my only T for a while. 2 weeks later I purchased a G Rosea RCF Sling and a G Actaeon Juvinile.

I love my 3 T's to bits, and find the hobby fascinating. I have a list of about 20 T's that I want, but for the moment I will stick with my current 3. But we also have an expo next week, so you never know ...

Any way, just thought I'd say hi, and I think the forum is great.

    Hi Karin, welcome aboard

You will need to be strong minded and have a firm hand to stop with the 3 Ts, they are addictive

Less than a year ago i was saying that i would never keep Ts, now i have over 100 specimens

        Welcome

        Hello Karin,
Glad you've joined. They're a good buch here and ready to help with anything you need to know. Also the resources on this site are pretty fantastic, and I doubt you'll only have 3 tarantulas for long (I'm doing well at 26!)

          Hi Karin

Welcome to one of the most addictive hobbies I have come across!!

As Mike hinted, here's my story! lol

I started with a G, rosea sling back in Feb and I now have 51 T's in my collection!

They're my equivalent of the stereotypical handbags and shoes!

Hullo! G. actaeon are pretty nice, aren't they? And I agree that your collection will probably explode.

              Thanks for the welcome!

The Actaeon is pretty cool - I just haven't really seen her in over 2 weeks as she closed the opening of her hide with web (it is slightly see thru so I have an idea what she is doing. Given the fact that she ate like a demon until 2 weeks ago, I am assuming she is preparing to moult. Can't wait as I've been told they grow alot with each moult. She is ± 5cm leg span. No idea of the sex, but calling her a she and hoping positive thinking helps!

Just my way of looking at the way most of us women shop - "I don't need it but simply must have it! And it's this season's colour!"

                        lol

You've met me and could surely tell I'm not a handbags and shoes girl! lmao!

Hi Karin. I started with my daughters 2 Ts (her G rosea and L parahybana) after swearing I'd never have them in my house. But, they have grown on me and our collection has grown to 12 since last September. You'll find everything you need to know here and everyone here is so friendly and helpful. I'm sure you'll keep us informed on any new additions you get.

                            Hi Karin and welcome

The G. rosea and G. acteon are gorgeous T's. I'm sure it wont be long until you have expanded your collection . I started with 1 around 5 weeks ago and now have 7. They kind of grow on you rather quickly.
