I always think that it depends of the timing of the T`s molt . You could have a lovely specimen but if it holds out shedding its skin till after the show , there is no way it will win !

So , in my opinion , a lot is down to timing and luck dont you think ?

Committee was won by Peter Kirk but I refuse to pamaper to his ego by publishing a picture. No sour grapes here

        (plus I dont have one).

And the breeding trophy was deferred until the FEB Lectures , to give you a chance Tesco.

i dont agree because i entered my chaccoana elvis and she shed 3 days before the show and she was fat and fluffy and very pretty but aunti mary still beat me so its not down to shedding as elvis was perfect.
But i dont mind getting beat by my aunti mary as her spids are always perfect and im still learning to get perfect spids.

Being new to all this, what constitutes a good specimen for show purposes? What sort of thing do the judges look for?
                B. boehmei - T. blondi - G. rosea x 5 -
                C. cyaneopubescens - N. chromatus -
                L. parahybana - H. maculata x 2 - G. aureostriata
                P. irminia - P. murinus

                      congratulations to all the winners
The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

I'll agree with that. What I want to know is who was brave enough to pick up the lividium and put her on that card for her photo!

I disagree that its down to the Judges favorite spider.

A lot of time and discussion goes into the judging and although I dont personally judge I have been present when they do and believ me a lot of argueing goes on.

I stick to the art work and photos.

I am sure Peter Kirk will be able to answer this better than I.

Thank you Simon, from Trev and myself.

Sonny love I would be very happy to see you get a trophy next year, so would all of us on AP.

For those who don't know, Sonny is only just 9 years old, another Richard in the making I think.

I am sure that by the time Sonny reaches Richards age he will have a cabinet full of trophies.
